At one point it scared me. But now it doesn't. I really think everyone needs to become psychic. How the hell can we manage to make it into the future using only words to transfer emotion between one another?
Everyone WILL become psychic. But what's the hurry? There's so much to enjoy at this stage, before we start imploding toward the next Big Bang.
Hack into the mainframe, state your buisness, your name, grid of interconnection may just reveal a intangible, less synthetic connection.
Wow, did I piss everybody off with my last statement? I really would like to have some discussion about the word "choose." Anybody out there feel like they can handle a discussion? I'm still trying to figure out some stuff, and maybe some folks could help me with this...?
i don't think some people choose not to be aware of it. you cannot choose not to be aware of something. on the same note, those who are aware of it did not choose it either. for me, it think I had to first take an interest and inform myself. that was my choice. the rest just stems from what you put into it. i didn't choose to have ability(for all humans have it) i chose to become aware of it and cultivate it
it's not that people "choose" to develop abilities or not. psychic is taboo to most mainstream people. I think that if more people were aware of the positive potentials of psychic awareness (without all of the psuedo-"psychic" BS that is most familiar), they would be much more attracted to and interested in furthering their own abilities
and yes i believe that some humans may have heightened psychic growth with increased awareness or abilities, therefore creating the illusion that they were born with it. this can be reflected in parenting style and overall family attitudes toward psychic presence. i think psychic awareness and growth must be nurtured at an early age or else the interest and ability may suffer. i've just been writing ideas as i thought of them. sorry for all the separate posts. any thoughts? anyone? zengizmo lol?
well first off, i think the word psychic does have some negative connotations to it as mentioned above...i prefer intuitive..... hmmm....the word 'choose' perhaps was a little hasty, but i do think that it is ultimately a choice....that being said, most people are conditioned from birth to think that anything to do with that realm is in fact taboo and associated with "black magic" type practice....so they choose not to trust their own abilities for they fear letting in "demons" and other such nonsense. my entire life i've struggled with being able to trust my intuition and have only in recent years accepted that it is an integral part of who i am, and who we are as human beings....if i had chosen to accept that many years ago i couldve saved myself some heartache and struggle. now I chose "choose" because in the end it was a choice for me to allow myself to open that gateway of thought, and i believe that everyone does in fact have that choice.... hmmm its early and im kinda talkin in circles here what do you think??
i suppose this all leads to another question...is intuition and psychic ability the same thing or do they differ?1
I think people 'choose' to not recognize their psychic ability. I think most people do. They always chock it up to coincidence.
Wow its really great that theres people that believe this stuff. I have always had kind of a subconscous feeling that i had psychic energy, ever since i had 2 hits of acid it hit me. I kinda told a friend after i realized and hes like no shit its real, so it seems like he was on the same page as me, but i really wouldn't be suprised if i believe it to a fuller extent. I kinda keep this whole deal subconcously, i just become aware of when something "happens" that i'm "aware" of i just keep it to myself and its like having bonus points for the day. Thats what psychic is, is to be VERY aware. It really makes me wonder how psychic some people in this world really are. But yeah when i took lsd, thats when the real psychic stuff happens.
For mee too, Fresh. I was trying to communicate with my friend telepathically, it didn't work, but for some reason it just made me beleive..
I agree that there is some degree of psychic ability in everyone, and we can choose to either disbelieve that or to ignore it or avoid it. I realize, looking back at the note I wrote before, that I was in a peculiar state of mind at the time. I perceive there are people with profound, almost unbelievable psychic ability, there are some who don't even think about it, and then there are some like me, who have some ability but are still mostly blind in that area. The issue for me was that my choice seems to make no difference in the depth of my ability. Okay, that's not entirely true. I have found that if I put more attention in that area, I can increase my ability somewhat. It's just that I can't necessarily know things I want to know by "willing" myself to get the psychic knowledge. Occasionally I can, but mostly not. Usually for me it's either there or it isn't, regardless of whether I choose to be aware of it. So I suppose you can chalk up my previous note to some degree of disgruntlement.
However I still agree with tikoo's little poem, so much so that I think it bears repeating: Ain't alone a-tall, and I never got to really experience that until I was 46 years old. Life is funny...
Just remember like all energy it doesn’t like to be bottled up. Occasionally when I shut things down for a few days on the Psi front, it tends to build up in my mind and compress into what can only be described as a psychic wave (similar in some respects to a gravity wave) traveling outward at the speed of light (or perhaps even, the speed of thought) Hotwater
Psychic ability is very a interesting subject. My only curiousity is how come no one uses psychic ability in a way that is beneficial to the masses, like crime-fighting or something like that? I think the brain might be more powerful than it is commonly used and thought to be but how come psychic people don't fight or stop crime? Abeeku (my name)
