Look at us trying to change each other, debating the facts, questioning the things we'll never understand. We're the only ones who have chefs, psychopaths, musicians, trends, books.

Our interactions are so finely tuned that you say one thing or don't say another and you become funny or lovable or repulsive to others. Why is a handshake our most formal greeting? We sculpt ourselves to be unique, piling on the opinions, experiences, perspectives and interests like we pile on our unique sense of fashion in the form of clothes. Each one of us is different in hundreds of ways, we couldn't be the same if we tried. But everything we do is mimicry. I watch people interact like ants, fascinated by what it is that drives us to keep at it. What made him laugh? Why? Why does everyone like her? Do they, really? How do we know whose turn it is to speak? How do we all agree to walk here, rather than there, without saying a word?

Why do people who appear to think so little make me think so much? And why can't I be a part of this life, instead of observing it as an outsider? Tell me I'm not alone.

I think people are highly predictable creatures.

Humans are the only species on earth that have face-to-face sex regularly. (there has been a few rare Bonobo and Urangutans face to face sex sightings documented)

I was thinking about this the other day. The human element is so complex, it's easy to spend one's entire life thinking about nothing but the goings-on of other humans. Most people do just that, and I think it's a tragedy. Humans are far too self-righteous about their perceived importance.

I think it's very normal to observe your fellow humans every now and then and be amazed by both some of their typical individual behaviour (which can seem unique but most likely isn't) and our subconscious group behaviour. But yeah, doesn't mean you can be as easily amazed while observing other creatures. Perhaps it's all so strange because we're human ourself and we didn't expect humans to act a certain way?

Isn't it funny how we've all come to agree on certain basic principles as humans? Have similar environments and behaviours which evolve in similar ways? I am speaking in the most general terms. Is it natural or some sort of chain reaction, I wonder...? I am thinking the latter.

I do not want to inflict that. I've considered joining the black & white masses. Any suggestions on how to make the transition without any side effects?

I'm feeling a little groovy from combining Pepsi with prescription pain killers. Am I wired? Am I sleepy? ... But I can sense my font becoming darker and darker.

There. I think it's happened. There is a particular calmness to losing my identity but that might be the pain meds talking. :D
