Smoking from a glass pipe

This may sound a little strange.

I've never smoked weed from a pipe - I've always done joints. Someone gave me a pipe the other day, but neglected to provide instructions, tee hee.

Is smoking from a pipe different experience-wise from smoking a joint? Am I supposed to mix tobacco in?

Very uneducated here, sorry...

 

just break it up if its really stemmy/seedy just likea joint.toss it in the bowl,cover the the carb(little hole on the side of the pipe)if it has one and fire itup.pipes are nice.

 

No need for tobacco. Do you have a hole on the side of the bowl? (the bowls the thing you put the weed in)

 

Metal pipes are pretty sweet to, but don't have carbs. In the glass you put weed in the bowl and cover da carb.


inhale, covering the hole on the side, then when you're just bout done, and want to shove some oxygen down you're throat, stop covering da carb.

 

A lot of people swear glass pipes are far superior toking than metal, but I haven't noticed any difference.

 

To me it's like beer, It just tastes better from a glass bottle then from a can. Same with weed, it just tastes better from a glass bowl then from a metal one, and less harsh(for me at least)

I gotta say I don't think I'll ever go back to joints. It was mmm-mmm-mmm-much nicer

 

you may wanna invest in screens to stop any feedback. just make sure you release the carb before you inhale.

 

Smoking a pipe conserves a lot of weed but can be pretty harsh on the throat. I like to suck on cough drops while I toke.

 

I've never really used a screen on a glass pipe before... They have "Glass screens" which is like a little weird glass ball you put in it but I lost the only one I had in the ashes that were on top of it when I dumped them. Just if it's almost cashed then don't inhale so hard and you'll be fine.

 

I only smoke from pipes. just make sure you have a screen at the bottom of the bowl, or you'll be eating resin and MJ. I've never smoked from a metal pipe, but I heard they are easier to clean. I love smoking from pipes because I think they are smoother than a joint. but I understand that everyone is different. But like said before, no need for tobacco and just pack it like you would a joint... no stems and no seeds. Peace and Love!

I find it depressing that you hadn't used a pipe before... I smoked a pipe for at least a year or 2 before I smoked a joint. Guess we're just opposites.

 

You don't have the cough drop in your mouth while taking hits do you? I can understand after but during seems like it would be kinda nasty.

 

Oh yeah, cough drops afterwards are the shit.

 

thats how i am, i just like the glass more. anyway, there's nothing wrong with a joint smoker, i know some people who will only smoke joints, and they always tell me "well i cant eat a pipe, but i can eat a joint" for cops situations. i guess its good thinking but i still love my pipe collection, thats the best part, collecting all sorts of awesome pieces

 

No, it's not really nasty... it gives the smoke flavor imo.

ya glass pieces are definitely nicer than joints....but make sure to not blow the weed out of the bowl if you cough or something
