Just check here and read a bit.

Find out what suits you. Also, do some research by using the 'search' on the bottom left of the forums, and google before you make your decision. Then once you think you've gotten your choice, but still have some questions, post here and ask us. Good luck!:cheers2:

    Hi sarah

You will find the board split mainly 3 ways, backcomd, twist and rip or neglect.I think each to their own but some ppl on this board like to think that 'their way' is best and all that shizzle:rolleyes:.Personally I backcombed and a friend did it over a couple of days, stayed together well and have had them nearly 4 years now.
You can find more info in the 'please read this' section on the top of the forum.good luck :)

What a lovely name you've got.

    Anyway,
I'd suggest twist and rip if anything, I have a few dreadlets that are backcombed, some neglect, and some twist/rip.
The backcombed and neglect ones look literally the same, while the twist and rip are far less loopy much more mature looking. (although, the few t&r I did took forever!)

Backcombing seems to be the most popular way of doing it (besides neglect), but I don't suggest it. It seems like a waste of time.

You can find a billion threads around here that describe each way of doing it, and basically everyones opinion has already been stated somewhere here. There is much debate about it, so you will find a ton of info by searching.

    Best of luck!

I personally think the best way is neglect, it takes the longest to actually look like dreadlocks, but in the end the final result is a sick set of lcoks. I went backcomb and a lil twist and rip however
