he did it because he knew he could get away with it. its obvious. now theyre letting him go and shes taking him back. whoop de fucking do whats new
Grape--what happened was a man put his hands to a woman.Which makes him a chickenshit prick ,in my book. There's only one reason to hit a woman and that's if she has a knife or some serious cutting tool and you know she is going to cut you if you don't stop her.
Young girls and young people in general don't take much seriously these days, I find. Perhaps if they somehow become involved that changes but their 'support system' will still be these careless teens. I don't know what it's been like in past generations, I can only speak for my own but it's hard to believe domestic violence is more tolerated than before. I like to think we're moving forward as a society. We certainly are with publicity. I also like to think that any defense of Chris Brown comes from his celebrity and the denial from fans. It can be hard to acknowledge that someone you admire may have done something like that.
Let me put this simple, Celberitys and massive icons are not working class people, there just a look, if Chris Brown beats Rihanna, why should i care more than the regular person??? Chris Brown and Rihanna are probaly doing this shit for attention, icons and over hyped cebs always do this kind of shit.
Well, I'm a college age dude, and when this happened, I saw more guys disgusted about it than gals, generally. It seems the teen girls mostly side with Brown (cause he's so cute!!), where the college age gals are using a little more brain.
It's so sad how common abusive relationships are these days. Girls see them as normal. You hear things like "He wouldn't be so jealous if he didn't love me so much." Or "He just wants what's best for me. That's why he won't let me wear revealing clothes or hang out with guys." Crap like that. It doesn't help that books like Twilight are so popular. That relationship is so fucked up. He watches her sleep, steals from her, forbids her from seeing certain people, lies to her, manipulates her, and continuously reminds her that he could hurt her or kill her anytime he wants. All in the name of protecting her. And all these girls think this is the ultimate example of love. No wonder they think that it's ok for guys to treat them this way, they think guys are supposed to act like that if they love you. It's disgusting! There's a website that lists all this out, with examples from the books. I'll try and find it.
No Twilight, please. I do agree though: those books portray a fucked up idea of love in more ways than one.
i know what you mean.... even the new hull of 9ers is looking bad, they're supposed to be getiing more mature
I know it's been a while since I posted about Twilight, but I just got around to finding that website. It lists specific examples of abuse in Edward and Bella's relationship, with quotes from the text.
