Hello I wanted to know if there is a way to get the serotonins levels back that you lose by doing xtacy and some other drugs? Time might play an important role in it, but are there any supplements or food that help to improve serotonin levels, depression and anxiety? Thanks
some people swear by taking a 5-htp supplement,which is a precursor to serotonin, starting the day after rolling, and apparently it can help if your levels are low after using mdma. of course there's always SSRI's as well, but that's a little bit more extreme and carries a lot with it. i seem to remember hearing that certain foods like bananas are also good to have. in addition here's some info you might find helpful: http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_health2.shtml but as far as 5-htp of SSRI's, you should look up how much/when to take these, in order to be safe... i just wanted to give you a general idea about what might help, but i couldn't comfortably give you info on what exactly you should do with it just because i don't know for sure.
if you eat a bunch of turkey the day after that will help. lots of l-tryptophan that will balance out the loss of seritonin
if you take those 5-htp supplemets, they'll help your body create more serotonin. that will help you if your dealing with a particuarly rough hangover the day after. however, they don't help as much with the problem known as "serotonin downregulation" or "loseing the magic"
