Grits and sweet tea??!?! the only good sweet tea i've ever had was in NC... grits... i'd die without these... i'm eating a cheese buiscut from the country kitchen like a couple miles from here, that's why i thought of it... it also annoys me when people from up north say "i want a grit" i know it's not their fault but it's just annoying... EDIT: in the title i meant to say yankee. not yuppie. lmao.
i've only had grits a couple times and they were always kinda nasty i've probably just not had good grits though. sweet tea i do like though.
hahaha that would remind me of when shellfish have a couple grains of sand in them. ya know, if you're eating new england clam chowder or something..and there some grits in there
well like, i hate packaged grits. those are disgusting, i mean like, restraunt grits or home made grits.
I have never had grits, but that is because I have turned them down plenty of times. I am not the biggest fan of corn, so corn porridge doesn't seem too appealing lol. I'm all about the biscuits and gravy Sweet tea however is the fuckin bees knees.
I've only had true grits once, when I was real young and competed in the judo nationals in North Carolina. They were pretty good, but the stand out food I got from down there was the mac and cheese from some little hole in the wall place. Shit. Was. BANGIN. As for sweet tea, I've only had the McDonalds kind and the Arizona(<3) kind, and needless to say it tastes like assssss. But speaking of clam chowder, my dad made some for me because I've been doing generally good in life lately, and its the best god damn chowder I've ever had. Better than any resturaunt's shit. He put corn, bacon, potatoes, onions, and whole belly clams in there. Its thick as fuck and delicious. Dude makes the best food I've ever had, and he wants to open a resturaunt but he doesn't have the balls to do it.
how about fried okra? Thats the one thing i miss from living down in texas. Dunno about grits and sweet tea, i stayed away from those
with all this talk about the economy....you'd have to have some pretty big balls to open up a restaurant. i've thought about doing it too - my GF is a great cook yea that shit's nasty
Living in Alabama I get up most mornings and make cheese grits, fry some eggs, some country ham and make buscuts.... Nothing better than MILoS sweet tea!!! Hell yea
why does everyone hate delicious salty buttery grits??? pfft. mcdonalds is disgusting, get some bojangles iced tea or better, my grandma's haha.
