What would be the best option?

I had my aviators stolen at college Thursday. They were only $15, but they were really nice. I was playing ping pong and took them off so I would not mess them up. While I was playing I remembered that I had to take a makeup test; so I forgot them on the table. After the test I went back to see if I could find them, but they were no where to be found. They are your classic mirrored aviators, but I could tell if they were mine if somebody was wearing them.

So here is my question. If I see someone with them on, how am I supposed to react? Should I just grab them and go from there. But if I get into a fight I will be suspended for the rest of the year; and I dont think $15 is worth that. Should I go tell the adviser; I dont want to be a narc, but it seems like the only smart thing to do. What is your advice?

 

Buy a new pair. Even if someone had the same exact pair on and you think their yours they might not be, and you wouldn't really have any proof that they were yours.

I also have a hard time letting crap slide. Learn to get over it. They are $15.00 sunglasses. I have had the same pair of glasses for like 10 years. Ray Bans rule.

 

I know it was only $15, but if I see someone wearing them it will be like rubbing it in my face and I dont know if I can handle this.

 

If you cant take someone taking your sunglasses then you need to take a chill pill.

 

I can handle haven them stolen, but I would not be able to take someone wearing them around.

 

I think the best thing to do would ask them where they got them, not in a jackass type way but just to see if they get flustered trying to make up an answer. They'll probably get embarrassed and hand them over to you and maybe make up something like "I just found them and noone claimed them, sorry man." If this happens just say it's cool and be on your way. I'm almost positive they won't want to fight you, unless they actually are their glasses. I agree that getting into a fight over $15 glasses is not worth it at all. It would be kind of low. It's a great that your rational about the whole situation.

If you see someone with them and your %100 sure their your glasses just run up to them and take 'em from the person and run away...

 

i would say ask the person where they got those. if you really really think they are yours, take them off his face and put them on yours. tell him you know he stole your glasses and you're taking them back. the only real reason he'd want to fight you after that is if they were not in fact yours. so you better be sure.

i would agree that it's not worth a fight, but i would take them back if it was me.

 

agreed. but honestly it's college the likeliness of you finding someone wearing them is pretty slim

i think it's stupid to pay much more than $15 for a pair of sunglasses. i always sit on em or mangle them up somehow. or lose them. so it makes more sense to buy a few cheap pairs than one trendy pair that costs a couple hundred bucks

 

some guy gave me a hemp necklace and it ended up being stolen, and it would have pissed me off if the guy came up and took it off my neck lol

ive had the same pair of $300 sunglasses i bought for like 3+ years now, the ones im selling were also over 300 but they dont suit me so im selling em

nice sunglasses are a must for stoners, the clarity on sunny days with a good lense is unsurpassed, just learn not to destroy your things..

 

i would rather have 3 $100 bills and 3 pairs of $10 sunglasses
