What To Buy A Girl For Her B-day - HELP!!!

Well...this female friend of mine's 18th B-day is coming up (exactly 1 day before mine ) And I'm wondering what to buy her. Turning 18 is a big deal, after all.

We're really close, and I was thinking something like a teddy bear. Hehe...she can hug him when I'm not there and a Mixtape. That's something that never gets old...right?

A present to a girlfriend had got to be picked out carefully according to how close the relationship is. Girl "friend" - A teddy bear is cool. Girlfriend - something pretty she could use. Lover - something sparkling she can wear - doesn't have to be expensive but there's something abut sparkly things. Ain't love grand!!

The mixtape is a pretty good idea. after I got off of house arrest, went 3 months without seeing my girlfriend, I had made her a mixtape; Long story short, She listens to it everyday!

 

I think its better to gift her beautiful watch,so that she can remember you always.And be punctual.

Are you after suggestions for songs about friendship or in general? You must know her tastes better than us. And just because we don't like the musical selection doesn't mean you shouldn't or that she won't. If the songs convey your feelings of friendship towards her then, honestly, the style and the artist aren't going to matter so much. I think it's very thoughtful and the teddy bear is a classic.

If you know of an animal she likes you could get her a plushy version of that instead for a personal touch, but the tape kind of covers that. You can't fail.

The teddy bear idea is cool, and the songs on the tape are fine. If you're up for it, you might also try writing her a poem to let her know how much you appreciate having her as a friend. My best friend, a kickass girl that she is, did this for me MANY years ago. I was deeply touched by her gesture, needless to say. I still have it and read it from time to time.

I like that idea, although what I'd LOVE to do is a cover of a song and include it on the tape...but I sing like shit So I might have to save that for like her 87th bday, lol

Funny you mention the cover song idea because I myslef very recently finished recording a cover song for a different friend of mine.

I'd do a cover song for you, except I try to keep my Hip Forum persona and my real self separate for privacy reasons. But I'm sure your friend will appreciate your singing. My singing wasn't that great for the song I did because of the key it's in, but I'm not too worried about it because, ultimately, it's the thought that counts, anyway, lol.
