There are four different seasons of the year. There are a lot of small towns. There is a lot of corn...fields of corn. Cows... It's not bad. The more the merrier.
Hey, I live in Iowa, and I'd say if you're close to Des Moines, the Quad-Cities, or Council Bluffs/Omaha, its really not all that bad of a place to live. Affordable living costs, Low crime rates, good education, growing metro areas. The QC is a short drive to Chicago, Madison, St Louis. DSM is a slightly longer drive from the Twin Cities, and of course, Council Bluffs is right across the river from Omaha.
