A local sports show broke down the Patriots-Broncos game, and Brady missed several wide open receivers he ordinarily (that is before surgery) would have never missed - i.e. he would have carved up the Broncos (supposed vaunted defense) like a roast Hotwater
looking pretty nasty this year. 3rd period come back win in detroit last sat was dope. Our two young studs are fuckin sickybaby. Duchene is the shit, but 1. I ower you a TBGF pass this summer, lotto for passes starts 11/9. 2. still way early 3. this is a separate thread
i sure hope so.. though we are looking beat up at the moment... Winfield is injured.. Harvin is out with a bad shoulder..
Should be a good game, if Polamalu is back, Steelers win. I love Adrian Peterson though, he is a beast. I just wish I didn't hate Favre now, because AP is one of my favorite players to watch.
i don't even wanna discuss the Wild.. im not expecting much out of them.. sure Havlatt and Sykora were good pickups but its not enough to solidify the team...
I watched parts of both losses... and in addition to an out of synch offense and a susceptibility to corner blitzes, bad tackling on defense- in a few cases allowing run plays that should have been stopped for little or no gain pick up first down yardage when the first hit looked more like an attempt to untie the ball carrier's shoes than a bid to bring him to the turf. Plus, we failed to properly pressure either quarterback (Sanchez, Orton). 59-0 was a dangerous win. It's a bit tougher to be really ready for the next game when the previous opponent was beaten like a rented mule. The Titans would have lost to Ball State Sunday.
Brady is doin pretty good for having a for shit O-line... so many people have this crazy animosity twords Brady and i don't get it at all... his #s show that he is a great QB.. and will continue to be.. but if you don't have a pocket to stay secure in.. you can only do so much...
Precisely Haters will be haters- I try not to dignify that with any acknowledgment. Reading the body language suggests to me that while he is a decent quarterback Brady needs to work on leadership skills when things are not going well. Angry sideline pouts are not inspiring.
It's kinda surprising that i haven't seen Favre pout on the sidelines yet.. but as long as they are winning, he's gonna be nothing but smiles i suppose
I don't know who I hate more. Favre and the Vikings or Big Ben and the Steelers. Hopefully both teams sustain a ton of injuries and the Vikings lose their first game this season. I really used to like Minnesota before Brett came. I think he's going to choke at the end of the year just like the last 2 years. I think the Ravens have what it takes to win the AFC. Joe Flacco is one of the premier quarterbacks in the league, and Ray Rice is impossible to wrap up.
there is a big difference between the past two years.. last year he had a bum shoulder that he played with... he admitted he wasnt 100%... and Jets play outdoors.. while Vikings play in climate control.. which really helps those old bones... i doubt Favre is gonna choke.. he's in it to win it.. any choking is gonna come from Childress calling dumbass plays... not to mention Favre/AP is probably the best combo in the league.. what cant be done on the ground is done in the air.. and vice versa PS: lets not forget this is the best start of Favre's career.. he has never started off a season 6-0
Obviously I can't argue with a 6-0 start and the stats he's putting up, but I have absolutely zero respect for the guy and I hope he loses every week. I think his only record that will stand up to the test of time is the interceptions. I can't see the Vikings making the Superbowl over the Giants or Saints. AP and anyone would be the best combo in the league.
haha maybe not anyone. But having him in the backfield makes passing the football a lot easier. I think Tavaris Jackson would have been fine as the starter this year. Also note that I am incredibly biased because I fucking hate Brett Favre.
