I think I like the intimacy I have with my gay friends. I can't imagine being so open, and hugging and kissing my friends if I was a straight guy. I even get away with hugging my straight male friends too because they want to seem "cool" and it is a good thing that it brings them towards tolerance and advocacy for us.

 

oh yea, also getting invited to the BEST parties. Not to stereotype, but gays throw much better parties than straight guys. Not just the music, and the dancing, but the whole concept. The last party I went to thrown by a hetero had nothing but metallica or some shit playing, and all they did was drink and talk about chick's boobs. I SO left early. They didn't even dance......silly straight people.....

 

I've never been to a "gay" party. Though I don't think it would interest me much; I'd love to just drink and listen to metallica.

generally gays do throw better parties and you don't have to worry about the alpha male thing especially when it comes to eats. sometimes you want more than just burgers, pizza and beer.

I also think that I've seperated myself from the spoiled, rich, white kids that are racist, homophobic and the like--never had the chance to see what it's like on the outside.

 

My being gay means I'll never have to worry about all of the f***ed up sh*t that comes with heterosexuality, but one big downer about being gay that's worse than being a hate crime victim is that there are still people out there who equate homosexuality with pedophilia, and the fact is, most pedophiles are actually heterosexual men whose heterosexual orientation did not mature when they grew up.

MEN, DUH! I actually think being gay is very close to being completely free (behavior). Most straight men are all very careful not to look feminine or think they have to show their tough side. Same for girls, they sometimes hold back on feelings or else they fear being called sluts. Those are just some examples I notice a lot. Even though when you are gay you do stay in the closet at times, when you are out you are really freaking free.
