hello all...i was a vegeterian but i went back to eating meat a few moths ago and now i am back to being a vegeterian...simply because i feel we must be kind to fellow creatures. but anywase: has anyone else had that moment in there life where they stoped being a vegeterian and then started again? please explain your reasons why as well sorry for the poor grammar skilzzz in this thread...i am tired lol
Congratulations and welcome back! To answer your question, once I made the decision to become a "vegetarian" I never strayed. But it wasn't really something I decided all at once I think it was just something I was destined to be from childhood. I ALWAYS had a really rough time eating any kind of meat. It felt wrong and gross to me and I forced myself to eat it because I thought I had to eat it to be healthy or whatever. I would cover it up with mashed potatoes or whatever to mask the taste. Once I was old enough to really make my own decisions and manage my nutrition in a healthy way I stopped eating meat all together, never looked back. It's not even something I have to think about much now, it's just another part of me. I don't ever feel like I'm missing anything, or feel tempted to cheat or anything like that.
awesome.... i started eating meat because of my sudden loss of weight due to a bad diet...but now i got a reall special person to help me with good veggie diets so hopefully i can maintain my current weight as a vegeterian.
You'll get the hang of it. There's ton's of great resources online too, all ya gotta do is a quick search and you're overwhelmed with info on the very subject. From how to get protein and iron, to tons and tons of recipes and vegetarian and vegan grocery and restaurant options. You could research fa days! I also take vitamins to supplement my diet, it helps too. I've had no problem with weight loss, but there should be no reason why you shouldn't be able to figure it out after a little while if you believe strongly enough about your decision. Good luck to you!
I know many people who have been veg for health reasons who lapse, or go pesca. I lapsed in the UK and went pesca (and found out later that Brits hide animals in everything)
18 years, 4 months, 8 days and counting. Yeah, that took me a while to figure out I was going to go into hours minutes and seconds but I simply can't be bothered.
thaats awesome, i was raised by hippy parents, but there was some meat around (maybe once a week at the most).
