Most potent at dispenseries

What are the most poten strains at dispenseries? How do Grape ape, grandaddy purple compare in there? Whats the best?

 

You've probably heard this a lot but its true, there is no best weed, its all about personal preferances. Do you like an uppy energetic high? or a couch lock stoned high? or both? What tastes do you like? what colors do you like your weed to be? there are a lot of different variables.

 

It'd be best if you experimented with the different varieties, so as to identify your own personal preferences

 

I want potency. What are the top strains? I like an up lifting high energy sometimes what is good for that? I also like a cold stone knocked the fuck out high whats good for that? I have some grap ape and some grandaddypurp how does this rate? I'm like new to this designer weed thing I mean we smoked as kids I smoked green and that was about it. No nicknames just good or bad. Now I come back on the scene years later and FUCK man its totally diff. So shoot me some info bro!!!

 

one of the best i ever got from the dispensary was called bubba wreck. nyc diesel was also very nice.

For me it's mostly about notoriety. I don't want to get into an herb that seems totally irreverant or alien. Though a name isn't always an indication of quality. I find comfort in something less arbitrary and more wholesome. Often much can be said for the visibility of the thc containing trichomes or crystals...

 

What about black widow is that decent in mosy folks opinion?

there is more to it than personal preference - that's not the only reason there is no "best weed."

people can't ever tell you what is "most potent" because it depends a LOT on how the plant was grown. what was the soil like? or was it hydroponically or aeroponically grown? what kind of lighting? indoors or outdoors? any fertilizer and if so what? how was it dried and cured? etc.

ALL of this stuff can alter the potency.

further, simple genetics comes into play a lot. every plant of the same strain should be genetically very similar....but you have genotype (the genetic makeup) and phenotype (the expression of the genes)

so you might have 2 or even 4 plants and they all have the same genotype, but they can all exhibit different traits, different phenotypes.

then there are the two most major differences in pot, indica and sativa, which produce very different kinds of highs. so different, that its sometimes hard to measure the potency of one indica against one sativa...they just feel so different.

so there is no strain that will be the MOST potent - there are way too many factors to gauge which is "strongest"

but as for products, that can be answered, though i've not been to a dispensary.

weed is good, and from what i understand the herb at dispensaries is usually very nice quality.

most, if not all, of the effect comes from the trichomes, the little muhroom shaped resin glands on the pot often referred to as "crystals"

if you seperate the trichomes from the buds and leaves, you have what is known in the west as keif (though the term keif or kif simply denotes cannabis in general in hash producing regions such as morocco). because it is much less matter with a far higher concentration of THC and other cannabinoids, keif will be much stronger than herb.

hashish is a solidified, compressed material made from keif through one of a multitude of methods. it can sometimes have a slightly different effect than the herb or keif from which it was made. i personally prefer hash over loose keif as it maintains potency longer and tastes wonderful and so on, but they're more or less equal. the biggest thing for me is keif burns up much faster than hash and is more tempermental.

i don't know if you can get it at dispensaries, but if you can, hash oil is an even stronger, more refined version of cannabis. it's a thick, sticky, tarry goo, an oil as the name suggests, which must be smoked differently than hash or grass but which will knock you off your chair in no uncertain terms.

further, regardless of potency, keep in mind the method of ingestion may make a difference. orally consumed products are generally a lot more heavy, physical, nearly narcotic.

vaporized herb is a lot more energetic, clear minded, cerebral in general.

but when it comes to potency, there is no strain which is universally more potent than others, in dispensaries, coffee shops, dealers, or anywhere.

 

Its good weed or bad weed, fuck those silly useless names.

 

So when it comes to eating weed how much does one eat compared to smoking? Say a couple tokes does me fine do I eat the same amount or more? Thanks for all the info man!

 

i'd say a gram is a good start, and if it's not strong enough then next time work up to a higher dose. keep in mind that it can take up to an hour and a half to feel anything - eat it on a light or empty stomach, and don't eat anything else for 30 minutes or so
