Not crazy about egg sandwiches actually but I appreciate that suggestion as well... the stout label that was in your sig got me to yearning for some Samuel Smith's Pale Ale.

Big fan of pale ales myself. Did like the oatmeal stout- never tried the imperial.

o yea? what's a good pale ale? i enjoy dale's, stone, and sierra nevada, but that's about as far as it goes. looking to branch out, though.

as far as sam smith imperial stout...if you like impies, it's one of the best

Samual Smith's was the best- but pricey... there are plenty of good examples without paying that much. I enjoy Blue Moon- but mostly small brew pub offerings around Portland Maine. I prefer on tap anyway.

...and misspelling of the name "Samuel"

I stand corrected... it was the wheat beer. You wouldn't have found it here either! I was so sure of it... I web searched to prove... myself wrong as it turns out! lol ahh well... :cheers2:

Never tried full moon... clearly not a connoisseur but I likes what I likes -eh? I'd give it a try though. Pricey... that's about right for SS... four packs used to cost $12- haven't bought in a while though... I'm sure it's higher now.

Gotta pay a bit more attention to what I get on tap- though local brew pub fare in New England isn't likely to be found in the lone star estate either.

yea tap selection is pretty shitty here, being the midway point between the awesome west coast and new england breweries. you guys get such awesome stuff for decent prices.

Perhaps one day I'll journey to your end of the universe... and bring along a decent selection of local bottled stuff... not the same as on tap but there are a number of good microbreweries within a reasonable radius of here.... and it is pretty reasonably priced. I used to be into Sam Adams. I don't drink too much these days.

Long Trail IPA comes to mind now- could be what I was thinking of when I said Blue Moon.

Wow, the topic is long gone now, but I would say that wasn't your fault. Yep, some people are just stupid.
