So out of all the 10's of 100's of types of energy/suppliment bars out there.. what is your favorite? why?

Personally i am a total fan boy of the Clif Bar company.. there really is no bar that i have tried that hasn't for one.. tasted amazing and two.. actually seems to give me that boost i need.. and can fill me up off of one bar.. out of all the bars out there. i think Clif tops them.. for the size of the bar.. they pack quite the punch.. bigger than most energy bars out there.. usually twice the size.. and have less calories than most bars you would have to eat two of...

Powerbars.. i think are tasteless.. and pretty disgusting overall...
Soy Joy.. just tried one of these for the first time.. eh.. i had one.. i wont be eating anymore.. and the bar was about the size of my middle finger and had pert near 150cals.. and nothing else really for nutritional value
and then there are the cheap bars.. Nature Valley.. and such.. they taste great.. but are 200 calories a pop and really have no nutritional value at all..
Fiber One bars.. they taste great.. high in fiber.. but other than that.. there is not much to them

So what is your favorite bar?

Promax bars, 200 calories and 23 grams of protein and very delicious flavors. There's nothing better for long term energy and muscle building than a bunch of protein. They're cheap too, if you buy online.

Power Bars, 240 calories and 8 grams of protein. They are great for before a workout but not after and definitely not as a meal replacement. There isn't enough protein. And they taste so-so.

Chewy granolda bars from Quaker Oats. They're soooo good and a dime a dozen too! But not for protein, just for snacking.

And to top it off, nothing beats the Met Rx Big 100

these bars are a ton of calories about 400 and I think 30 grams of protein. They are ultimate meal replacer.

Ultimately, while I'm on the bike for a long ride(20+ miles) I'll grab a Powerbar because its small and packs a punch that's easily digested. I have to meet 3000-4000 calories a day so if I'm eating a bar then I'm eating two.

But my ultimate energy tip for immediately before exercise... which for me is on the bike. I take a shot of honey or eat a peanut-butter and honey sandwich.

I don't really know if this counts because it's not really a supplement bar, but it's a bar... Larabars are awesome. The ingredients are so simple.

My post workout meal is just whey, raw eggs, chia seeds and coconut milk. Simple, clean and natural.
