Is it true that anything that normally works taken orally will work better if taken rectally provided you don't shit it out too quick?
I would say it's safe to say that many chems are more active rectally than orally. The exceptions are ones with very high oral BA such as benzos.
yeah there's a lot of surface area and it's very absorbent in there. plus, none of the drug is destroyed by the stomach which leaves more for you to soak up. rectal administration is a very good method of taking most drugs. i just made a thread about this over in the opiates subforum a couple days ago.
It's my go to ROA for some substances now, when possible. MDMA, 2c-x, AMT, DPT...haven't tried any pharmies.
Bear in mind that because it is bypassing a good part of your gastrointestinal system it hits a lot harder and an OD is easier. Years ago knew a gay couple that liked wine enamas, one night one of them had to be rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning, from less than six ounces of red wine. Never tried itmyself, I'll stick to oral thankyou. God intended it as an exit and I'm happy with that.
I could see this being a problem if people were dissolving powdered chems in alcohol to measure and possibly use rectal admin. Doesn't sound like fun.
yep you gotta be careful... because it's not in your stomach, you can't vomit it up or anything like that. but rectal dosing really is the way to go most of the time, you just gotta be clean/careful. hell, it's my own body. nothing to be afraid of
Yeah, I always kind of thought it would be more wierd than it is. I don't have any anal sexual desires, it's just a very efficient route of administration. That is often more economical, less side effects, and shorter(yet stronger, often like snorting would be).

It depends on chem. Often the dosage required and duration mirror snorting, but it varies. Often you get the dosage of snorting and the duration somewhere in between snorting and oral. Ketamine is wierd in that it has same dosage as oral (much more than snorting) with no real benefit in Rectal Admin.
hmm interesting. morphine's kinda of interesting too, the nasal BA is insanely low, it's much better to take orally (obviously best to IV though). the rectal BA is said to be roughly the same as oral but from what i've read, most people seem to think that's pretty innacurate, that it's much more effective when plugged.
Yeah, there are a lot of factors that go into which route is most effective. polar/non-polar, whether it's broken down my MAO or other enzymes, etc. Also, for recreational use keep in mind the intent. Someone may prefer Ketamine IM for holing but snorting for lighter club use.
