dying dreads

im thinking about dying my hair today. what would be the best way to go about diong this? ive tried dying a few dreads before with henna and it comes out within a few washes. idk if im not getting soaked enough in my hair or if the dye just sucks. what you guys think?

 

What colour are you going for? I guess if you tried henna you want it dark... You can get permanant dark hair dyes which.. are permanant. You will have a buy a couple of boxes because the dreads suck the dye up into the middle. And thats another point, make sure you wash the dye out thoroughly

as Henna aint permanent it is going to wash out pretty easy, so permanent and semi-permanent are gonna be better if you want it to last...well permanently or semipermantently ^^ I think it takes like twice as much dye as it would to dye the hair none dreaded.

i'm sorry to hear of the death of your hair.

 

not sure if you did or not but you really dont need to work the dye into the middle of your dreads, there is not really much of a point as you only ever see the outside of the dread anyway and you dont need the extra work in making sure you wash it all out

 

i thought i worked it in pretty good but theres still tons of blond spots.

why thank you . yea i liked the blond way better. i might bleach in in a few weeks but itll probably turn pink so im kinda scared.

 

ya but like if the blond was cool, and the red was cool...by my mind math of multiplying the two...you'd have cool squared.

I like the red with blonde spots but thats just me, i love when dreads are more then one color!
