Amnesty International: Violence Against Women Campaign.

I wanted to mention the new Amnesty International campaign to raise awareness about the violence women encounter all over the world.


On November 25th there will be a national candle vigil for these women if you would like to take part. Our university group is ( I am the groups president). So light your candles and think about those women. (this virgil also falls on the domestic violence day concerning men and women).

Not to be nitpicky, but the word you want is vigil, not virgil. According to the Merriam Webster Online dictionary (www.m-w.com), the only listing for virgil is a biographical name, Publius Virgilius Maro, a Roman poet, author of the epic Aeneid.

While spelling & grammar are not so important on the forums, if you want to influence people in other settings, it helps to use the right word.

 

I will do so...my mother-in-law was in several abusive relationships...
