Dancing to look like an idiot can be fun, free-style...or...if you will..."hippy dancing" can be fun at a concert with a bunch of people, and dancing, when done by people who are trained and dedicated and talented can be one of the most beautiful and coolest things ever. It's creating art through the movement of the human body. There's this quote one of my friends uses...he wrote in on the chalkboard in the painting room last week actually . I can't remember it exactly, but the gist of it is, there are so many things I have to say that I can't find the words for, and so I dance them out. I think it may be Anais Nin, but it's much more eloquent went acurately quoted. I wish I had stayed a dancer. Plus, the social dancing styles, like salsa, and swing are SOoooooooooo fun. However. When you have to learn say...a "Hip-hop" routine...and learn jazz across the floors entailing this like "Jazz slides!" and leaps and such, when you really have NO training or experience...yeah...that's not so great.
The.point.of.dance.is.to.let.go, and.have.som.fun.so.you lose.your.ego, and.mush.together.with.the.universe!

lol! there's a baptist school around here that'll get kids in trouble fer ANYTHING.... dancing, music, etc. is all against the rules. if they're caught coming to our dance (or any other kinda dance) they're automatically expelled. haha.... fundies
