a light pink may look cool, you never know. i don't know much about henna. but i dye my locks every 6 weeks or so, and i use store bought dye. i use two boxes to make sure i get every spot. then i rinse forevers.

The blonde was lovely, BUT I really, really like the reddish-pink! Your new color is much more individual and there's sooo much fun you can have with it. Good for you!

By the way, yes, bleaching the reddish-pink (esp with locks) will cause your hair to turn lighter pink, even orange-y. The semi-permanent dyes are very, very hard (impossible?) to return to a natural color. No biggie, though - what will happen is, the reddish will fade, then you can either continue that color or cover it with another color. or use other colors on parts of it....

Whatever you decide, I like your color :)

actually henna IS permanent, if you get the 100% pure, body art quality which has a higher dye content. Plus that kind doesn't have the chemical additives or metallic salts that can interact with other dyes and fry your hair - the things that have given so called "henna" its sketchy reuptation in the past. As long as it's PURE henna, it's almost impossible to remove without utterly melting your hair. And it can give really brilliant results as well as REALLY improving the health and strength of your hair. Also I've found it actually tightens my dreads.

Two great sites for henna info and to ask questions are http://www.hennaforhair.com/ check out the ebook on henna as well as the forum.

and http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21 which is the "Recipes, Henna and Herbal Haircare" forum of the Long Hair Community. Great stuff!

    HTH!
