Hello i'm a avid mushroom hunter wishing to experience these wonderful fungi, I ask of you to help me identify whether this is an active mushroom or not. Thank you to all that help. Location: British Columbia Habitat:Growing abundantly on well taken care of lawn littered with dog feces , they were growing in the soil not the feces. Noticed they weren't growing any ware else, not even on lawns of neighbors identical to his Cap: Brown - dark brown Stem: brownish white , turning darker with handling but mostly still white, no blue bruising noticed Spore Print: In progress will update, predicted to be brown Gills: Brown, Chestnut Brown, lighter in color then caps Images hosted on Image Shack not sure how to post in thread, http://img195.imageshack.us/i/picture61i.jpg/ http://img519.imageshack.us/i/picture62z.jpg/ http://img190.imageshack.us/i/picture63b.jpg/ http://img38.imageshack.us/i/picture64j.jpg/
I would very much like to know what you think it might be then, Ive been looking ever since I found them and can't determine it, starting to bug me
the print appears to be black , very dark brown or very dark purple brown, still pending. I;m still not sure maybe Panaeolus retirugis, which isnt active Thanks, Flytrap Upon drying the caps lighten , and stems turn back to full white, gills staying dark brown
They grow in my mushroom feild, I dont know what they are but I definitely know they're not psilocybin
Yeah, they 100% aren't active. They look like haymakers to me, which will just make you throw up if you eat them. I'm not sure if you guys even have them over there though. Do you get liberty caps?
