here is how I think things may turn out in 2010, I am not a clairvoyant or a prophet, it is just speculation. The year will begin with a general feel good factor, of new decade, new hope type feelings. A new reality show, will be aired,that is more contraversial than ever before, although people are getting sick and tired of reality shows this one will have the nation gripped, and will make overnight stars, of the people involved. In a popular soap opera, there will be a storyline so contraversial, that it will get more public interest than the general election. At the general election, the conservative party, will win by a small majority, with very promanent figures, from all three major parties losing theie seats, some seats will be gained by smaller politica parties, including one going to a well known stand up comic, who stood as a joke electorate, wearing a humourous costume, and a seat going to right wing candidate, with fairly extreme views, and a high profile polititian from the past who decided to come out of retirement. Days after the new government is elected, a major scandal involving a member of the new cabinet, will force that person to resign his/her seat, forcing a by election in his/her constituancy, the seat will go to the lib dems. Some tory MPs unhappy with the new government form a breakaway party, reducing the torys majority, they are now a minority government. It will take a long time to elect a new labour leader, which will be a virtual unknown from the back benches, probably a woman, who will eventually become very popular, but it will take time. Crisis in certain parts of the world will cause petrol to be in very short supply and prices to be sky high, and will result in no feul at the pumps the country will be at a virtual stand still, focing the government to fund projects that will bring electric cars into the mainsteam. There will be unpopular governmeny cuts, almost the whole of the public sector workfoce will be on strike, there may be the first nation police strike, causing almost every business to close shop through fear of crime, private security firms will police the streets, with even talk of martial law. When the police strike is over, and country starts to get back to normal peolple who have brought shares for next to nothing after panic selling due to the crash, the police strike caused, will see their shares rise to rise several times the price they payed for them, and become millionairs overnight. In the world cup the rank outsiders will come top of thier group, everyone whishes they may made a bet on it, England will be the finalists but will lose in a penalty shoot out. At christmas a new toy will be in so popular shops cant keep up the demand, fights break out in shops, riot police need to at places that sell them, people are buying them at retail prices, and selling them for huge profits an ebay. Well thats my predeiction for 2010.
