This will be my first job and I'm sure all of you will say it is a shitty job but here I go; I got a job working in telemarketing. At first I didn't want this job but at 8$ an hour after a month is pretty darn good for a 17 y/o. Also, this company doesn't require you to meet a sales quota, meaning, I don't have to make so many sales a day/month or I'm fired, it's extremely hard to get fired. Personally, I can deal with people talking shit to me all day, I mean, I've been here for a good while, right? anyways, i'm 'cited. has any of you out there worked in this specific line of work?
my older sister worked for a telemarketing place for a while and she liked it a lot...she used to just bring things to color or something she said it was so easy. go baked all the time haha its the only logical thing to do in a job as monotonous as that

You will work there at most 2 months and just not show up after being cussed at and threatened by morons all damn day since you finish training. First off, I'm not a dead beat punk who is just looking for 'easy money.' I want to get my foot in the door by getting some job experience, I'm not the type of person to just give up when things suck majorly. I'm sure the job will be tough but I have multiple friend who have been working telemarketing for quite awhile and don't have a problem with being bitched out so much. By the way, I'll be working 35 hours a week, so at 17 with no bills but car insurnce, I'm gonna be doin good.
i think you'll be happy with it...at your age youre not supposed to like your job youre just there to hate it and get paid thats all that matters. when i was 17 i worked at a factory that made eye glass lenses and i worked like 30hrs a week at 7.50 job sucked but the money was very nice

I never worked there(wouldn't hire me because of my record as a kid) but every person I've known hated it and didn't last a month. You should feel great I said you might make it 2!

Most of the people I know that work this job around here usually have a record of some sort, I'm on probation, they don't know that though. and thanks for the gratz everyone, I'm pretty lucky to get this for the simple fact that it's so damn hard to get a job right now, I have my application in at many other places. I'm super glad I got it, expecially at this time of the year, CHRISTMAS! I was really worried I wouldn't be able to get my girlfriend a gift for christmas & our 1 year anniversary. :\ but now I can, wootily wooh!
