All my life I've had terrible circulation; I get cold so easily, and its almost impossible for my body to warm itself. i think part of it may be that i wasn't breastfed, or that I'm anemic, or that I was exposed to strong, direct secondhand smoke from brith until i was 16 by my mother who smoked in the car with the windows rolled up and in the house with the windows closed.
    Any natural cures?

i would get my thyroid checked if i were you. this is a common symptom of hypothyroidism. an herb called guggul might help by improving thyroid function. i take it in the winter to help keep me warmer. also, if you can tolerate cayenne, it can improve circulation to the extremities (hands, feet, etc.). it can be used on food and taken in capsules. ginkgo biloba can also improve circulation to the extremities. i get an upset stomach from cayenne, so i use this one. it's available in capsules.

I have poor blood circulation (I was breastfed, however, but my mom IS a smoker too), and I've been taking Cayenne supplements for a while now, and it has actually helped quite a bit. I've heard of others taking Ginko Biloba too, and have had good results.

Do you get enough exercise? Physical activity is key with blood circulation.

I would give the ginkgo biloba a try as long as you don't feel like there could be an underlying cause for your poor circulation. Ginkgo biloba increases blood flow to your brain and extremities, so it might definitely notice a difference in your hands and feet then. And of course you'll get the added benefits of it improving your short term memory and helping you think more clearly:) Just be careful that you don't take it along with any other blood thinners, because that can cause bleeding. And it's something they tell you to stop taking a few weeks before any surgery. And I'd also agree that it's a good idea to always keep yourself active to keep the blood circulating.

yeah i agree that you need to first find out why you have poor circulation in the first place before trying to cure it with natural herbs, otherwise your just treating symptoms that could stem from a much larger problem , like Hypothyroid which was mentioned by Lady.
