Okay, so this guy I work with is really cool, but he has some pretty out there ideas sometimes. As an example: He wants to do experiments with static electricty and magnents. He wants to charge people up and shoot us through tubes for fast transport... Yeah. But this one seemed practical: He wants to get a vaporizer and just smoke weed and get high, burn all the chemicals in it and whatnot. So, the leftover would have no chemicals left in it right? So he plans on just smoking the leftover weed instead of cigs whenever he wants one. To me, it seems like it has the potential to work. Has anyone ever tried anything like this before? I think the important thing is that the weed/cig replacement is not to get high, but for the taste of weed. It seems like if something like this were able to get some scientific backing it would go a long way towards legalization.
aside from it prolly being kinda difficult to roll vaped weed into a cig there are two (or more possibly) parts to cigarette addiction mental and chemical. Sure that may cure the mental addiction to the cigs by allowing you to actually partake in the act of smoking, but it doesn't touch the chemical addiction to the nicotine a smoker has the potential to have.
Wrong on so many levels including practicality. Quitting is different for everyone. I tried several times until I finally just threw a fresh pack into the trash.
no....will not work....vaped weed is pretty fuckin gross to smoke plus doesnt have the cherished nicotine but let me know about the high speed transport thing....sign me up for holland
Well it seems like when i smoke weed i smoke less cigarettes. Like when i can smoke weed regularly not smoking cigarettes doesn't bother me at all.... But its different for everyone.
ive tried to quit many times.ive tried all the prescription shit.have a chantix refill waiting to be filled now but i dont care to fill it.i can get rid of the mental part with an aid but the feeling of a cig in my hand or betweeen my lips i just cant find a replacement for the more weed i smoke, the more cigs i smoke.
i'm with you wee, when i have doobs i smoke like 5% of my normal 10-12 a day habit....the coke increases my smoking by like 200% but now that i am wiser i do blow only very rarely
I still have a glass jar full of duff (leftover vaporized weed) and I have yet to find a use for it. I quit cigarettes 2/12/07 by using the patches and smoking weed. I still haven't quit weed so that helped a lot on the mental part of my cig addiction. The other thing that helped me on the mental part was developing a pure hatred for everything associated with the cigarette industry included visualizing myself disemboweling the board of directors of Altria Group with a katana and firebombing Durham, North Carolina. Over time I think my weed usage has gone back to what it was when I was smoking cigs, but for the first year or so after quitting cigs it seemed like I was smoking a lot of weed. I spent $900 a month on blueberry and AK-47 6 months after quitting cigs. The patches are what handled the physical addiction. I started with the 21 milligram for like 10 days then went to the 14mg for 2 weeks and the 7mg for almost 2 weeks. Taking off the 7mg after a week or so was no big deal. Going from the 21mg to the 14mg was annoying for a day. I have since only smoked half a cigarette when I was in a really annoying situation that I couldn't get out of and smoking a cig outside seemed like a good idea. I have a had a few dreams where I find myself smoking a cig and then freaking out and scared that I will become addicted again. I haven't had this dream lately but it is a recurring dream. I will also add that both my parents are cig smokers and I have a HIGHLY addictive personality and I still am chock full of vices without the cigs. I was smoking for 4 1/2 years - I actually originally started smoking cigs to help quit weed, lol.
1. I have smoked vaporized buds, and it only gave me a headache... 2. I think those are both great ideas! 3. There are still good amounts of THC left over from vaporizing ( depending on how good your vape is ) so you will still get high, may just get a headache as well and feel like shit like me 4. I wish your friend the best of luck
Ugh I wish that was true for me, I'd never need to smoke! When I'm high/drunk/trippin I feel the need to smoke more then when I'm sober.
In January I switched to weed and quit smoking cigs. Everytime I wanted a cig I would do a bong hit or two, enough to let the craving pass. I haven't had a cigarette since. I love smoking cigs but they are too expensive compared to reefer. Everyone is different, but substituting pot for cigs worked great for me!
That what I did everytime I wanted to have a cig I would do a one hit or two and would not want one after that.Im lucky though cuz I dont really have a addictive personality, which is probably the only reason Im still alive.I am definitely glad I did though there just too expensive and I figure if Im going to smoke something it might as well get me high.Good luck to your friend.
you guys really think vaped weed tastes like shit/doesn't get you high? must be using different vaporizers than me. it's brown, sure, and maybe smells a little yucky, but it tastes just fine in a joint and it definitely still gives you a high (although it's more of a body high, not a head high like smoking a vape - it's the other side of it). i know that, for me, the act of smoking is probably one of the sweetest parts of actually smoking weed. I took up cigs for a while but couldn't get into it simply because they don't taste even the slightest bit as good as weed. as bad as vaped weed might taste to you guys, they cant taste as bad as cigs IMO lol. if your friend buys a very expensive vaporizer (maximize THC out of the weed), rolls up the rest into cigarettes (not that much harder than doing the same with normal weed), and smokes that, he will still get a little high. it won't cure the addiction of smoking something, but IMO, it's worth trying. weaning off something like that can sometimes work really well.
