i agree that jimi was/is one of the most influential guitarist of the electric era but their are other's too! oh and btw he could play the same solo more than once if you listen to his recording you could hear this!
I'm talking about Improvisation haha. Hendrix didn't like playing "out the book", that's why he went through so many R&B groups early on. what people need to understand is that Jimi was at a level with the guitar where he was basically thinking out loud whenever he played.

You could never say whose the greatest that's a unethical ideal to bring about, but still a fun subject to bring about so I'll say a bit of my favorites and my opinion alone most influential. I'd say Robby Krieger, Erik Brann, Ron Asheton, Marc Bolan and of course Jorma Kakounen if that's how he spells it.
