Wednesday is bong cleaning day..

I don't clean my bong for at least like 2 weeks. Although I don't use it a whole lot. I clean my pipe right after I put a ounce or so. Then I can get enough resin for a day of desperate highs.

 

On another, more related not, I almost never clean my bowl unless I scrape it for resin. The bubbler gets cleaned more often cause I have to mess with water anyway....

Same here, I'd rather smoke some fresh greeny dank than a ball of sticky tar like shit, that leaves my mouth tasting like an asshole after a toke. It rarely ever comes down to smoking resin, and if it does I will more than likely not smoke.

When I owned cheaper glass I didn't clean my pieces that much and they got somewhat grimy before a cleaning, but since I purchased a roor I have been trying to keep it almost as clean as new, so I clean it every 2 or 3 days depending on how often I toke with it. It makes the smoke so much nicer and I've noticed that my breath doesn't get as bad as when I smoked with dirty bongs.

 

My dailiy glass pipes gets cleaned about every 4-6 months, basically when I can't draw smoke from the bowl anymore.... When that happens, it always amazes me how much gunk builds up inside... and then I feel a bit bad for my lungs...... and then I light up a bowl

 

Thats the way to do it. Get a nice fat glob of resin. I think of it as the bonus when I REALLY need to toke.

Cleaning your pieces on the regular will also make for an easier cleaning.

Actually I find it easier to wait until It's thickly coated. That way I can just stick the paper clip in somewhere and pull out massive chunks. Then I have a clean pipe and free highs. I don't get how some people here are so snobby. It gets you high and it's still not as bad for you as tobacco.

 

I never throw my rez away. I put it in a little container and store it. I have like an ounce of rez probably.

Whenever one of my friends doesn't have anything to pitch in a session I just give them toke after toke after toke of rez so they still get high....

One time we were all gettin' chewed and my friend said he didn't have any weed so I gave him so many rez tokes.. After the sesh we found out he had weed the whole time and just wanted to get baked for free.... If it wasn't rez I would have been PISSED.

 

How is it easier to clean if it's full of "massive chunks" and "thickly coated"? My glass is just like cutlery/dishes for me now, in that I like it to be clean when I use it. You wouldn't drink out of a dirty cup, so why would you want to smoke out of a grimy piece? Imagine not washing a glass for 4-6 months and drinking out of it every day.

Those of us that don't smoke resin and use clean glass are not being snobby...we simply enjoy smoking weed for more than the high. Maybe if I was broke as fuck I'd smoke resin but I really have no need to. Weed is cheap and eventually it will be 'free' for me.

 

so whats the best way to CLEAN a bong? i just bought a zong on monday and its getting pretty dirty. i tried just hot water, but its had to get to the bottom of the Z, where the smoke comes out of the diffuser.

 

ISO alcohol+salt. There is also a product called grunge off that is supposed to work amazingly well, and requires no shaking around like the iso+salt method.

 

It's easier when there are big pieces because the paper clip gets a hold of it easier. Drinkng out of a dirty cup would be pointless, I can't smoke the grime on the cup. And the fact is, I AM broke as fuck and I can't usually afford to go buy a bag(although my credit card made it easier until they told me there's a limit on cash advances). Plus weed isn't cheap, at least not for me. $180 for a half and $300 for an ounce? Sorry but I'll use all of it possible at that price.

bong, 3 years, cleaned: 0 :cheers2: pipe on the other hand gets cleaned about once a week or two, I save my resin and my keif and make a ball of jungle soap...just my name for it sounds nasty but its 50/50 on nastyness :rofl: gets me caned as fuck though. Wouldnt just smoke resin itself though, tastes a bit like the way horse shit smells uke:

i (midly) clean my bong every 2 or 3 days. meaning i dump the water, rinse a few times maybe with hot water, and then refill. if i'm feeling really ambitious i might put some salt in there. i've always tried to keep it clean, but the thing is like 4 years old and stained now.
