hmmm...??? i got a reply to a face book post

    so in my email i click on the link and avg comes up and says virus warning
    i go to another email telling me that my peep commented on my post get the same warning i did not click any link just answering stuff on facebook am i ok or do i have to asume i was infected? i do not want to spread a problem!!! help??
    oops this is all from face book and i know that they would not have done this if they knew1

    You were most probably not infected because you have AVG going. It sounds like you may have encountered a new virus that's going around! Yes, it is going around and yes, I have seen it. Most virus programs can handle it.

    Only accept plain txt emails.

    Ever thought of highlighting the URL and pasting it into the address bar of your web browser.
    This will ensure that you are going to the website that you think you are going to; assuming the email uses html instead of plain txt as simplistic suggested.

    Have you guys seen any of you freinds on Facebook have a random status?? Like "I just got my favorite ringtone delivered, i cant believe it worked!!" Its gotta be some stupid little virus or something eh?? There are a few different ones, but they are always trying to plug some sort of product or something. Happened to me once too, and it said that my status was updated from my mobile device....weird.

    Ask em, if they have sms(txt msging) staus updates enabled and they didn't send that status themselves then yeah, it's prolly a lil bug. I got one that spread through msn messenger accounts when I used my phone in conjunction with messenger a few months ago so these things do happen.
