Common Sense?

Hello everyone. I was just thinking to myself about the stories i hear where people jump out of windows and other stupid crap, but what got me was when i thought " If your tripping its common sense not to run into the street" Common Sense? then i thought to myself when your on LSD does common sense even exist? BTW in other news iive decided to stay drug free for a VERY long time. i will continue to bring my theories and questions here so i can have your opinions/support. Thank You!

 

It really depends on how much you take, and how strong it is ect..I can usually control myself but sometimes I can lose it for a little while. Just have to try and stay in a safe environment.

 

I jumped out a window once while on lsd.. of course it was because I was being chased out by a guard dog..

Why dont they say "youll put your dick in a light socket" //?, how is that any different than jumping out a window?

its a dumb an attitude towards any drug. ie: if you take Oxycontin, the next thing youre robbing a pharmacy at gun point to get some..

 

eh, there's only two levels of acid for me

level 1 - I'm tripping, everything is clarity, and the nature of reality is common sense

level 2 - I don't exist

either way, I won't be jumping out of any windows

 

A lot of people dont have common sense or a strong survival instinct, LSD or not.

Personally, no matter the psychedelic, dose, setting, or mindset, Ive never lost both my common sense and my survival instinct.
I have tripped to the point of immobilization where there was no need for common sense, so it just dissolved. But I'm sure that if I somehow caught my pants on fire I would have enough survival instinct to roll around to put it out or whatnot.

 

Yes I could never get high enough to jump out a window myself but have been lost in space for awhile. I did see some kid flip out and jump in the river in Albany during the Grateful Deads spring tour once and I dont think he made it.Not really sure what he was on though.

 

I'm sure that somebody taking Oxy and then ultimately robbing a pharmacy does indeed happen, and is a lot more likely.
Certainly a lot more than somebody jumping out a window on acid cause they think they can fly.
But then again LSD isn't physically addictive like Oxy is.

Avoiding guard dogs is an acceptable reason for window jumping.

I know this does happen, it even happened to a friend of a friend of mine who simply jumped off his roof thinking he could fly.

There are plenty of foolios driving cars too, causing all kinds of accidents..but do we outlaw cars?

but anyway, i think it's just a weird thing that glitches out in some peoples brains when they drop acid... like, even having a bad trip with a lot of fear is different from people who just like, black out and start doing really psychotic things. that freaks me out.

 

some of our journys led us to cliffs and mountain tops and never felt the need to try and fly and niether did any one i was with.

beautifully said! i thank all of you for your clarity. its just that LSD can be so complex at times. You people are no doubt some of the most brightest intellectual people ive ever met. Thanks for all your help.

I have common sense on 1 hit since i can drive fast, 2 hits i cant tell whats happening but i can handle not doing stupid stuff, 4 hits i might do something that is questionable. I had a friend that pissed his pants twice and asked me if i wanted to have sex from 3 hits. Yeah idk if hes straight but i don't really care i just thought that was weird.
