Using on demand services with low bandwidth

I really enjoy using services like iPlayer and 4oD but it's a nightmare at times. I have quite low bandwidth so the streaming comes out pretty bad. The videos tend to stop and start a lot to buffer and a lot of the times it gets so bad it becomes unwatchable. I usually solve this on iPlayer by downloading the videos on their desktop software and watching them on there instead but I've looked all over channel 4's website and can't seem to find a 4oD equivalent to download. Do you have any advice on how I could either download 4oD files on my computer or some kind of low bandwidth-friendly ways to stream off their website? Thanks in advance for any tips. n_n xx

 

Join uknova and torrent them? They have pretty much all uk tv shows for about 4 weeks after broadcast...
