So I have acquired a 10g bag of Atlantis variety truffles, apparently also known as philosophers stones. Anyone have experience with em? Are they the same variety I hear of people using in amsterdam? I think I am going to chop em up fine and add them to a cold and potent rosehip tea.

Are they dry or wet? If they're dry, they're 2/3 as potent as dry Cubensis. If they're wet, they're twice as potent as Cubes. I know it's weird, but it's because they're only about 70% water, whereas Cubes are about 10%.

Don't make them into tea. They're supposed to be really tasty.

Atlantis are one of the nicer strains of truffles. Along with tampanensis they're one of the only type that give visuals. Truffles are generally much more of a head trip and ecstasy like feeling than visual trip.
They're fun anyway, lots of room for absurd philosophical conversations. Have fun! :)

cool cool. I noticed condensation in the unopened bag when I bought them, but I chopped em up into chunks and left em to dry overnight. It worked quite well; I could pretty much powder them if I wanted to. Will try a few and if they are alright, i'll just munch em up. If not, add to cold shot of lemon juice or tea. We shall see:cheers2:

They aren't too hard to get down, I'm sure you'll be fine. They taste a bit nutty. Enjoy! :)

Something I just learned last night, from Workman (the person who found this strain) himself. ATL7 isn't actually Psilocybe Atlantis. It's Psilocybe Gallindoi. Workman had misidentified it when it was first released.

So I tried em straight. They tasted pretty good at first, but then a strange taste began to permeate through so I washed em down with a swig of orangina. Twas quite the experience, more so for an inexperienced friend that I was eating em with: he had quite the awakening:cheers2:

Much like mushrooms I'd tried before, but less "external", as vision was pretty much normal: it was the CEV's that caught my attention:D

I would definitely munch these again

Glad to hear it went well. :)

It's a toss up between this Atlantis variety and the Tampanensis strain for me. Not sure which to get...
I definitely need some though, my mushroom supply's running pretty low. :(

I asked Workman, and he said to get the ATL7. I'd go with that.
