Oxytocin is the all-purpose LOVE chemical. It is the chemical that constantly reminds you of your infinite, unconditional love for your children ("Nothing you could ever do could ruin our friendship"). It is more active in young childhood ("Ecstasy makes me feel like a kid again"). It promotes breastfeeding ("Thanks for the lollypop, it's AMAZING"). Oxytocin is released when hugging someone for 20 seconds... really, just go read the Wikipedia article. I don't understand why this isn't researched more often than Serotonin.

Recently a person was able to obtain a few milligrams of high purity oxy. They solubilized the material in a pH=7 phosphate-buffered saline solution and filtered it through a .2 micron filter. Two solutions were made one verified by UV absorbance to be .33 mg/mL the other .5 mg/mL. There were about 2 mLs of each solution.

The decision was made to dose a roll early in the night, followed by intranasal ingestion of molly throughout the night (~.3 g total used over 6-8 hours), and another roll hours after the first.

The decision was also made to spray the oxytocin intranasally (with a generic spray bottle) a few hours into the roll(s).

Upon the first spray one's eyes begin to get very big. Big as in: Holy sssshhhhiiiitttttt what is this stuff??!?!?!! The oxy. hits you instantly and seems to synergize with the MDMA better than anything they had ever experienced. The oxy. enhances the buzz, your mood, sexual appetite and openness. The two drugs complement each other very well. At worst they felt a bit less speedy and a bit more dopey. By the end of the night, almost all of the oxy. solutions were consumed, and the individuals were left feeling a little more tired than you would expect after taking that much MDMA. No major side effects were noticed. The remained of the oxy. was consumed the next day by one individual where it effectively "revived his roll" for a few hours of the afternoon."

Im trying to figure out how to get some pure powder, I read another report of a guy who snorted 10mg alone and felt effects similar to a very weak weak and incomplete form of the mdma lovey touchy magic.

 

Doesn't pass the blood brain barrier. The molecule is hydroscopic. How did it effect them then?

 

i think it's a hormone...so i guess it indirectly affects brain chemistry?

 

It has been shown to work nasally in animal trials. Something about the olfactory system works around the BBB.

 

Or it passes BBB, but just poorly?

 

Synthetic oxytocin is sold as medication under the trade names Pitocin and Syntocinon and also as generic oxytocin. Oxytocin is destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract, and therefore must be administered by injection or as nasal spray. Oxytocin has a half-life of typically about three minutes in the blood. Oxytocin given intravenously does not enter the brain in significant quantities - it is excluded from the brain by the blood-brain barrier. There is no evidence for significant CNS entry of oxytocin by nasal spray. Oxytocin nasal sprays have been used to stimulate breastfeeding but the efficacy of this approach is doubtful.

Thats all the research I needed to do on that one. I am sure you might be able to get good effects by injection into the CSF, but thats somewhat risky

yeah that is inconclusive my friend, theres plenty of research being done into the nasal spray. Just because there is no evidence doesnt mean CNS entry is impossible. There are already a few reports that the nasal spray works.

Yeah, it works outside of the CNS through neurons that pass through the BBB. Not exactly what we are looking for. I don't know, I am not a professional scientist, just a amateur.

 

Well what if when you take it while under the influence of MDMA, it works in a synergistic way, I read 2 reports through google of the combination working wonders in restoring the magic.

 

Yeah, but the thing is its half life is only 3 minutes in the blood. Thats means 10 minutes and its practically gone. If anything it is a placebo effect. I would need to read somewhere else the halflife is longer or that it can be gotten through the BBB without help from other drugs.
