That sounds amazingggggggggggggg. What school? I'm going to do a post-grad in "eco-counseil", which in english means, like eco-councilor.
continuing to go off topic...they make chocolate oranges, havent had one in a real long time but i remember it being really good and apparently looks like a vagina...
Man, I'm 100% serious. I'm going to a community college right now and it just sucks compared to an actual university, IMO. The professors seem to, in general, be a lot better at an actual university and just better educators. However, I have had a couple GREAT professors at this community college. But, overall I think the professors at a university are going to be a bit more knowledgeable on their field of study. I'm not really that into sports, so that doesn't really concern me. I hear you on the campus thing though. I really don't like the campus at this community college though, it's really just the buildings where you take classes. I love ISU's campus though. It's beautiful. But yeah... to each his own.
i liked uni, but it is a big money sink, thats for fucking sure. just dont expect that a job is going to be waiting for you when you get out - you have about the same prospects as you did going in, unless you got a degree oriented towards a SPECIFIC field of work. me, i got a double major with a 4.1 GPA as my BA (that's right, a BA), and now im designing websites at my own business. your degree will teach you some responsibility, time management, independence, and help you find meaning n shit. if its a BA, dont expect much. i'm going to get my MA in a couple of months, but im planning to do web design if i don't become a prof one day. it's funny, instead of going to school to fall back on when your big dreams dont work out, you have to take a trade to fall back on when your uni education doesn't work out, lol! of course, i know nothin bout business and science and computer degrees. all of my knowledge is restricted to BAs.
i hated high school and community college (high school 1.5) but university is the shit. the professors actually give a shit, im finally being challenged academically, and im not paying an arm/ leg for tuition. 5g a semester including rent/food/utilities
You think school sucks.. try answering to asshole sergeants all day.. sober. Be glad your still in school.. seems like just a little while ago I was that baked guy chillen in class (or tripping balls, or both).. Enjoy it
im in school right now. i feel like shit and dont wana be here but i have a test to take so im here. i just got out of class supposedly doing research.
I'm at school working on a couple stories for da paper. It would be more bearable if I had a fat bowl =)
i fully agree with you the teacher of my class right now, same class as when i made this thread, is a fucking idiot. i had some pretty horrible teachers in high school but this lady never stops talking. i dont understand it! she steps out of her shows all the time, im convinced shes on meth
I still don't get why you would go to a university unless you had to for your degree. It costs thousands more to go to a 4 year school. I have actually learned more here then I did all through high school. I have seen some pretty ugly community colleges but ours is fucking beautiful. In fact, check it out... http://www.nic.edu/ We rock.
looks like a hell of a view. i didn't really look too deep, but it looks sweet. the community colleges around here are not much like that though. a lot of people think it's like 13th grade, and if you think about it - professors with a better degree choose to work at a 4 year school and get paid more money. but i'm sure there are great professors at some community colleges. the only reason i went to a university is because i got free tuition (my family member works there) now i'm going to grad school at another university, but i get paid. so no debt for me
