A friend of mine told me a story he heard from a guy who was talking about things you wouldn't be able to do once you were a medical marijuana patient. Apparently you are put on some sort of list that would exclude you from doing certain things. Two that he remembers best were: You wouldn't be able to run for office for anything higher than a town official and you would never be able to adopt a child. He said there were more but these were the two things that stuck out in his mind. Has anybody heard of this or something similar? We did some Googles searches and turned up nothing. I just want to know if there is any truth to this, or if he was just blowing smoke... No pun intended.
marijuana laws = unjust bullshit no matter how you slice it To be helpful though, I haven't heard these things. Until this is verified, I can say that I personally have doubts that there are such laws... I'm not saying that you're wrong, but that seems unfair, and I wouldn't think they would say this. I wouldn't put it past them though.
alcoholics raising kids sounds like a great idea.... fuck this country!!!! I sometimes get sick in my stomach just knowing I put my life on the line for it!!!
Yes, marijuana laws are totally bogus. He said he heard it for California , which would make sense that it came from there because they are just ridiculous. I thought it sounded kinda queer, but I could totally see that sort of thing happening. A list that you go on where you can no longer do stuff for legally smoking weed. Yet those that are legally addicted to Oxycontin and the such are free to do whatever.
We're still in the stone age concerning cannabis it seems. We have no care about the environment yet woe to those that smoke a joint because its ruining the world What next? Banning rolling papers? Or how about apples
i dont think this is the case.. if you are prescribed marijuana by a doctor, your name is obviously put in a state database, but it doesnt forbid you from doing any of those things.. the database it is in cannot be accessed by the police.. it works the same way as any of your other medical records; it can't be available to everyone and brought up and used against you.. remember this is a doctor prescribing it, so there is a measure of doctor/patient confidentiality there.. just as a measure of added caution, it would help to go to a legit doctor who would be willing to testify for you in court, should anything come up... but yeah, im fairly certain that isnt true.
i wouldn't put my life on the line for this country in the first place...as much as i hate to admit it, i don't think i'd think twice before dodging a draft. seeing as i'm disabled, though, i think we'd surrender if the draft got that far...
