I'm having some problems with nausea... when I had glandular fever 2 years ago, I would get nauceous an hour or two after eating something. Or just before eating something... SO like, nausea instead of hunger.. All the same thing. It would be so bad, if I didn't find the right thing I wanted to eat, and ate the wrong thing, I'd throw it all back up.

Now, with my cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome), it hasn't been too bad, but the last week its been sO bad. It imght be cus I've gone vegan. Limiting my options may have had more of a psychological effect than practical one- if that makes any sense xD
When I wanted to loose weight, I would supress my hunger untill I was rEEally hungry. Now, I'm not the smallest of people... I'm a little overweight. So this isn't anorexia or something!! I mean, it could be, but not because I want a stick thin super model size 0 body. It is similar to anorexia because I am overriding my bodies need to eat- hunger. I sort of enjoyed the feeling of hunger after a while. So somedays I would only have a couple of small things to eat.

When I get this nausea, I also get a little faint and weak and more tired. I get headachey too. If I can't find the right thing to eat, these symptoms would get worse. Somedays I would be able to supress my hunger and not get any nausea, but still "crash". Somedays I won't even crash at all. When I do crash, eating something does perk me up.

This shrunk my stomach (or so I think) so I could only eat smaller meals. Now, Maybe this has something to do with the nausea. I can only eat very small portions, often. And I would only feel ok about eating if I found the right thing to eat. This "right thing to eat" hasn't got anything to do with dieting, its just what my nausea likes or dislikes. The wrong thing would turn my stomach and I could feel my gag reflexes.. reflexing xD The other day I could barely finish half a jacket potato. Then an hour later I was hungry and extremely nauseous.

My house mate knows someone who has an eating disorder, He has to eat every 3 hours or he will "crash". He can only really eat low G.I. foods. I'm thinking I might have something like this...

Has anyone any ideea about what I'm on about? I went to the docs yesterday, who had no idea what cfs was... Hm.. Hopeless. He prescribed me with some pills for the nausea. They worked yesterday evening but not ttoday. Shit.

If anyone has had any similar problems or knows anyone that has, it would be cool if you posted :)

Perhaps it could be Hypoglycemia? I have it, as well as two of my children. My father has it as well!

If I don't eat the moment I start to feel hungry, it leads to nausea, and sometimes I too will vomit immediately after eating if I've waited too long.

When my blood sugar drops, I get really disoriented, confused, I even find it difficult to talk correctly (feels like my tongue is tripping over itself). I get headaches, I feel really weak, dizzy, irritable, impatient and insanely tired. I've never passed out from it, but I swear I've come pretty close sometimes.

Once I get something in my system (not junk!) I feel 10 times better, I'm back to my normal self.

My boys get really irrate when they need to eat. You can see a major behavior change in them when their blood sugar is low. I'm talking major! Once they get something in their system, they're fine. But I always carry small snacks with us everywhere. I've got them in my purse, in the car...

Anyway, that may or may not be what you have of course, but it's a thought.
