Hi guys, i'm new to this website so don't flame me to hard if this has already been discussed countless times please. Ive been really excited about trying salvia for awhile, a lot of my friends had described very trippy experiences, and being somewhat experienced with acid, mushrooms and being a regular cannabis smoker among other things im not so proud of i was very anxious to get my hands on some salvia and learn about another level of consciousness. Unfortunately when i lived in Fl it was illegal and i never really got a chance to try it, but i got into some legal trouble down there recently and moved up to NY, when i found out it was legal here i got excited and saved up some cash and went to the nearest head shop and bought a gram of 10x. I was very anxious to try it but i waited till i got home. So i got my little bowl (i was told to use a bong but i didnt have one) and went down to the woods by house and found a nice peaceful area to start my journey. I was a little nervous so i decided to smoke a bowl of weed first. After i was finished and feeling relaxed and at peace with myself i packed a bowl about half way full with the 10x, lit it up and held it in my lungs until i was forced to exhale. I was expecting at least some visuals, but I waited a few minutes and didnt notice much besides that i felt hyper sensitive to physical sensations and a mild dissociative effect. So i packed another and held it in even longer. But to no avail. Feeling cold (it was raining) and somewhat disappointed i retired to the house. Over the next couple days i tried smoking several more bowls as well as even constructing a gravity bong and taking some massive rips out of that. Sometimes with weed and sometimes without. I never had any visuals but once, i did experience something like a flashback of my first acid trip but without any of the visuals, i just had the same feeling of deep fear in my gut. and i remembered some of the more terrifying things i had seen that first trip, although none of it actually materialized before my eyes. But somehow i was reminded of being stuck in this loop during my first acid trip where i was basically going through stages of hell, each one becoming progressively worse until i had been confronted by every fear i had ever imagined, needless to say it was not a very pleasant trip and i was not very happy that salvia had somehow re-invoked this. Although ive been wondering if this might be the plants way of telling me that i should not have simply blocked this memory out, regardless of how horrifying it was and that perhaps i did not learn the lesson i was meant to? Also every time i take salvia, i have a lot of trouble remaining in the place i smoked it. I feel a overwhelming urge to get up walk around.. as if to make sure everything is still as it was and i havent started tripping without realizing it. But i have still yet to experiance anything that i could actually call a 'trip' and i must admit that the effect it has had on me has been pretty unpleasent. enough so that the remainder of the bag has been sitting on the floor next to my bed for a couple weeks now. Ive considered trying it again many times but the lack of fun ive had with the plant so far, and the extreme anxiety it brought up in me, has left me honestly scared to go back to it, something that has never happened to me before with any drug. even after my initial terror with acid ( i didnt even get into half the story btw) i still had the guts to go back and do it several times afterward in even higher doses and had nothing but good trips. I'm not sure if the problem is the amount ive been smoking, the extract strength, the device ive used to smoke it, the fact that i have a troubled conscious, or simply that i may have gotten some bunk shit.. Can someone please give a lost soul some guidance? Sorry bout the long post.
I didn't read all of your post as Im at work, but you may not be experiencing effects for these reasons. 1. Its always the thrid hit that you feel the effects (for some reason) 2. Salvia's active ingrediant is only released at high tempretures (you need a turbo lighter) two lighters sometimes do the trick. - Most likely issuse 3. I started on 25X and had visable effwcts, 10X may be too weak for you? If this helps reputation would be nice
Well i have taken 3 hits in a row before, i used one of those big long lighters you use to light a stove or whatever, but i guess i should get a torch lighter. and yah maybe it was just to weak, im a pretty big guy, like 6 ft 4 and weigh over 200lbs
It sounds like its the lighter to me - first time I used salvia I got nothing. Second time using a blow torch lighter - BOOM.
I only did salvia a few times about two years ago....I never used a torch and it always worked fine for me. One hit of even 10x would have a pretty noticeable effect for me and my friends. Maybe it's the salvia you have.
Its a known fact that you need alot of heat to get an effect off salvia - watch any video of epople smoking it.
