i used to listen to metal back in the day and yes cannibal corpse was one of my favorite bands i haven't listened to them in years but i still think that corpsegrinder is quite a man anywho, i was on another forum i sometimes browse and saw this, what a lol http://www.metalinjection.net/tv/view/4031/cannibal-corpse-lounge-cover
my brother and sister listened to a lot of metal so i got into it for a while. i have respect certain artists but i am pretty much over that phase. i got such a lol out of the video though.
I used to like 'em... Although they just piss me off now because every single thing sounds the same. Here's every single Cannibal Corpse song in one sentence: Crash (silence with a riff) Crash crash (silence with riff again) Crash (silence and riff again) crash crash BLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEATBLASTBEAT you get the point....
Yeah, Cannibal Corpse are pretty much the most mainstream death metal band out there. They're okay in small doses, but very standard. Don't change much. Now, for a band that doesn't change too much and gets it right, that would be Bolt Thrower.
They are very generic but they have that special something that makes them stand out for the rest and makes them pretty interesting to listen to. I do prefer Corpsegrinder material over Chris Barnes though.
i do also but i'm not going to lie i did listen to sixfeetunder... something about chris barnes voice always gave me the drools.

I don't understand all the Bolt Thrower worship. People praise them as gods but I never really got into them at all.
me neither... the only english metal i ever really liked was priest and maiden.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEo9fn6u08U dundundundun d0o0o0o i haven't listened to them in a while
Cannibal Corpse is a good band that unfortunately suffers from having a spotlight on them, which is at least of the reason why people are so eager to criticize them. The Barnes albums were seminal (if not ground breaking). Some of the Corpsegrinder material is rather bland, but The Wretched Spawn is a killer album. One of the best death metal albums of the decade.
Hammer Smashed Face is killer. I really can't get into them very much since there's only so many pure death metal bands I can listen to, as I prefer melodic metal. Meshuggah, Cryptopsy and the band that Cannabis keeps in his sig, Necrophagist are much preferred.
