did reincarnation "start" at a certain point? if it never started, it can't end. and what is "living"? is a gerbil alive? a tree? the seawater? we're all the same materials

 

so true, we are obsessed with apocalypse with a religious fanaticism

 

just because life on earth ends doesn't mean that life in other galaxies would end as well. also, biogenesis could still occur somewhere in universe.

 

Buddhism and 2012 have nothing to do with one another. In fact their are major contradictions between the Tathagata's teachings, and the end of the world at this time.

The doctrine of Buddhism as taught by the Gautama Buddha is said to last on earth for at least 5000 years before falling into disuse, this means that the earth could not possibly end on Dec. 21st.
