Is anyone else having problems with using the search funtion? Every time I try to search for something with it it brings up a white page saying database error... This has been happening for a few months and it has never worked since before then..

my search button up in the corner does not work either.. and when i got to advanced search it only allows for searching thread titles.. not posts
Reload that blank page that says database error and it will actually bring you to the search page, just never that first time. The easiest way is to click into the search button, but then click advanced search as it takes you right to the search screen so you don't have to reload the database error page. Hope this helped.
Just as annoyed as having to wait 30 seconds between posts, but for the sake of forum server bandwidth I understand
I remember when a Search Bar question used to lead to pages upon pages of images and flaming. Those were fun times. This place is a lot more newb friendly than it used to be. Also prevents spam. I don't mind.
Meh he was just wondering about why it wasn't working, I had the same problem when it first happened to me, but the logical thing to do in the situation was refresh the page and it worked. I thought it was just a one time shindig, but it fucking happened again, however, I at least knew how to go about searching still at that time. We do need to go back to the olden days man, I hate seeing repetitive threads most of the times. It's funny that some of the regulars are the worst culprits of repetitive threads, not to name any names of course
