I have a key and I have someone's key. Let's say my message is typed in notepad and I copied it and am ready to paste (didn't save the notepad file of course)... What do I do with the message, my key, and his key, do I use any programs besides the e-mail? I forgot the basics, please help, I remember someone posted this same question awhile ago but I can't find the thread.
You get his key and load it into your "keychain". Write what you want on notepad, save the file whereever and encrypt the file with his key. Secure delete the file, and send him the resulting file. Or just copy and paste the raw text into an e-mail. Ask more questions This is kinda complicated. I would read through a good long faq about how to do it. Once you do it right once, it will be super easy.
Ah, thanks, I think that's what I was looking for on that page but I couldn't find it. I think I'll find the answer to my question there.
Wut? No. Once you've imported his key you just write whatever you want to say in the clipboard then hit 'encrypt'. Saving the file defeats the point of using encryption entirely.
