To all us turkeys....... This is a pretty swell site for lots of different points of view, the predominant one being that going barefoot is great fun and NOT criminally liable! Be thankful for beautifully sensitive bare feet, universal tolerance, and U.S. government-sponsored health care! OK, well, pick one........
I'll take the first two; I don't really understand how unblushing corporate welfare fits into a group of such nice things.
I did some family traveling over Thanksgiving - a road trip from Kansas to Nebraska. It was too cold for bare feet (my opinion). We stopped at a few gas/convenience stores along I-135 and U.S. 81 where I saw "No Shirts/No Shoes/No Service" signs in small print on the door. Given that these places are right on the highway and I'm sure they get lots of warm weather travelers in all kinds of attire, I sorta figured these were CYA signs that are never enforced. Just curious if anyone has traveled this route and had any barefoot experiences??
Too many people in these places for much (or any) enforcement. I've been barefoot in a few and never had a problem. Those are the kinds of sneaky places to try barefoot...who's gonna notice?
