Im looking to invest my time, energy and money into a new instrument to master. Id like to play jazz, chill, maybe blues, ska and folk. However, i am not sure which of these two instruments would be more appropriate.

Id like to ultimately play on the streets adding some good much needed vibes, wherever i am called.

    What do you recommend?

    thanks.

While these things might seem kinda cool and can be played, I recommend getting started with decent quality standard flute or sax.

These "pocket" instruments or whatever, tend to have intonation problems.
These intonation problems are usually compensated by experienced players with adjustment of their embouchure, but this can be very frustrating and discouraging for a beginner who's embouchure has not yet been firmly established.

Good quality standard instruments are not only easier to play, your money is better invested in an instrument with good resale value if you decide it's not for you.

    Good luck and have fun!
