Do you take these words to mean the same thing? For me high is a buzz above mellow, when I can still pretty well function as normal. Stoned is blissed out in the arms of mary jane!
When I think stoned, I think mellow calm chilled out, high is like I am flying like wooo I can't sit still like I have to be cleaning something
I've always thought of being high as being on a more of an uplifting high, with energy and laughter etc. Whereas I always think of stoned being more of a deeply buzzed relaxed high, maybe a lil couch lock here and there and heaps of food . Just my .02
For me they are more or less the same thing. To me they both mean chilled out and mellow. I like to use the word Blitzed to describe being very stoned.
high, stoned, baked, torched...all the same thing, with high not being as intense as the rest, but still the same concept, it all basically means the same thing to me.
I say/see it like this: Buzzed = A slight head feel good. Stoned = A mellow, chilled, laid back calm feeling. Fucking Ripped = Can't get up off the couch.
The term stoned comes from being so high you can't really move, like a stone statue. I take being high to mean you aren't worrying about your problems anymore... high above the problems. There is one more time I like: blazed. Blazed to me is the same feeling as when I first started smoking weed. Where you are laughing a lot....like being stoned but you can still move around. I think the Indica gets you stoned and the Sativa gets you blazed. :smilielol5: Can you tell I'm high? Time to get blazed. :sifone:
It all involves getting high or stoned. Either way you are high or stoned. Wait, am I high or stoned? Wow man, I think I can't really tell. No, wait, let me think about it...... OK, I thought about it................................ Wait............................................... Oh, I think I am high...... What were we talking about .......................................
I always got specific with my high words lol. Stoned I'd say when I'm completely fried, don't use this word often anymore. But my first highs, or when I get to my max "high" Like not wanting to move, just listen to music and let the music listen to me is when I'm stoned. Got their Friday actually. High is when I'm past buzzed. I use this word a lot.
i dont really like using the term "high" especially telling smoking stories to non-smokers etc. when i say "high" i think of somone huffing paint thinner, not smoking the cron
to me, stoned refers to being high on weed. To be high, from my experience, is to be intoxicated on other drugs/substances. Everyone has different references. Around here when "stoned" we just say we're blazed...same thing
^^Another good point. When my friends tell me they are high, they are talking about E's or something (never tried them myself)- the word high very rarley gets used to refer to smoking round my way
