why is their a Ring around the Moon?

yes if your in the eastern past of the USA (miami here)

theirs a ring around the moon......right now.

earth has a man made ring around it.. from the 10,000's of satellites that are in orbit around the earth

it is, in a way.. it's funny to think that if they all got knocked out that society would pretty much collapse. satellites are the reason that many of our conveniences exist.

 

doesn't matter, the atmosphere will affect the appearance but it's all made of the same stuff

It's probably just high wispy cirrus clouds passing in front of the moon giving it the appearance of a ring.

In folklore, a ring around the moon means foul weather within 24 hours.

Yeah I noticed that here in Ireland aswell the last few nights. Like a big halo around the moon, glad I know the explanation now. Pretty beautiful though

I saw it on saturday when I was tripping on mushrooms

it was beautiful, i would admired it every time i went out for a cigarette.
