need to hide smell from my landlord

I'm don't want my landlord to catch me toking and I don't want to talk to him while I'm high or have him come to my door. He already complained once when my mom had a smoke in the bathroom with the window open. It's a basement apartment with just him living upstairs. My bathroom has one of those fans installed in the roof that is supposed to suck up all the steam and junk from the shower, although i'm not sure it works that great. I have a toilet paper roll with some paper towels and dryer sheets in it that i blow the smoke into because i heard that helps and i have a few cented candles i light along with spray, i turn the fan on in the bathroom along with the shower and shut the door. I'm afraid to blow the smoke out the window in fear that they will be outside or it will seep up into their window. I have a few questions,
Is there a way they could smell it through the fan vent thing in the roof?

Do you think they would smell it through the vents or pipes?

how can I help lessin my chances of getting caught while smoking INSIDE? Thanks

when i lived at home i would smoke in my basement with just a sploof and just made sure to put the bowl out after each hit and i never had any problems with smell, candles and such will help as well

 

just remember.. smoke rises.. get yourself a bunch of those glad plugin headed oil things.. they work wonders.. i have two of them.. it always smells like apple pie in my house even when i toke up

WHy dont you just not smoke there? If it is this big of an issue, I am sure the lease or verbal agreement you agreed to prior to giving this landlord any money stated you cant smoke there. I mean, you have no choice whether something is legal, but you do have a choice as to whether or not your word is worth a damn.

or you can constantly be high when talking to him and have the basement smell like that so he thinks it will be weird when the basement doesnt smell like it. if your high everytime he talks to you, he wont know your high. lol

 

Why is smoking outside not an option if I may ask?

 

MAny people over the years have used strong incense, patchoulli specifically, for just this reason. i am not sure it works, it just makes people think you are always blazing, but is an option.

 

smoke outside and don't complain. sorry its getting chillier out, now... but if you can't smoke indoors, smoke outside.

It's december in New brunswick canada where the OP is from. thats why smoking outside isnt an option.

Get an Ionic breze or something similar, they really do a good job of clearing odors from the air.

And if theres an exhaust vent in the bathroom ceilling, dont smoke in the bathroom.

I had an old arsed ionizer from the 40's and that thing worked great, tiny lil radio sized box, had the air smelling like fresh forest air in no time.

I also hear ppl complain about cheap vapes, mines a cheap ezvape works just fine only thing is the button is started to stick a lil but it's supposed to be under warranty for awhile so, but other than that none....another thing that makes it cool is ppl willl call you just so they can smoke weed outta your vape, hey when your out this is def. a plus :cheers2:
