While tripping on LSD and watching Across the Universe, I had an astounding revelation that "falling in love" is something quite extravagant and completely real and tangible, and not just something imaginary in people's heads, not just something idealistic that they want to believe in but doesn't really exist, which is exactly what I always thought it was...ever since that revelation.. I haven't been able to stop contemplating the majestic nature of true love and how much I deeply desire to be passionately enveloped in its unexplainable power. Something so beyond extraordinary that it transcends all other human emotions and everything else in existence. Now, after realizing I had been giving this amazing gift of love by my ex-girlfriend, I now have it in my heart to give to someone else. Ever since that realization I have been on a search to fall in love with that one special girl. No amount of random hook ups could ever compare to the blissful capture of making true love.
That's about the only way I could probably enjoy "Across The Universe", by tripping on LSD. What a pile of festering shit that film was. Strange how people suddenly realise how "amazing" things are when they're high.
Falling in love is a chemical reaction that occurs in the brain where one person becomes addicted to the other person's pheromones. Just keeping things in perspective. Doesn't make it any less beautiful, though.
How does that explain people who genuinely fall in love with someone's personality before they have even met - i.e. online?
What about feelings....where do feelings come from. If feelings are a series of chemical reactions, why do they have such profound effects on everything around us. Very cynical viewpoint on love. Love just is...
Because they affect us and then we affect our surroundings. Take it up with modern medical science, just stating facts.
I believe love is an entity that is recycled as people die...it becomes stronger and influenced by the lives of others who were in love and passed it on. It lives in the air and when we get the urge to seize the the wonderful day with our lovers, we take a deep breath and with that, we take love into ourselves.
You're right but this revelation of yours doesn't define love in all it's various forms. As said before me Love Just Is. But I'd like to add that the scientific reason for it doesn't explain away it's special ness at the spiritual level. It just explains it at the physical level while two beings are in physical bodies. But beyond that it can't explain further...and believe me there is much more to the story of Love.
