The day Germany declared war on the US meaning the US finally entered the war that had already been raging in Europe for more then 2 years? The day by which Britain continued to endure endured the Blitz, had already won the Battle of Britain, the Battle of the Atlantic continued to rage, the Battle in North Africa continued to rage, Operation Barbarossa continued to rage and was around the tipping point of the Battle for Moscow? That close to the mark? Seriously though, without being cynical. A very momentous day in history (Well, the 7th anyway seeing as its now the 8th. In fact, today is the day in which the Japanese invaded British Malaya, Hong Kong and the Dutch East Indies. Its also the day the Republic of China officially declared war on Japan and Japan attacked Wake Island).
there's a problem with threads like this, in that the system doesn't label each post, or even the o.p. of the thread, with what day it was posted on. i was rather hoping there would be a link to one of those sites with a list of things, big, small, odd, strange, humorous, serious, et c. indexed by date and aligned with whatever day it happens to be when you access them. the day i'm posting this is 8 december 2009.
