When you don't have dreads, your hair seems to knot up over night and it's almost a death wish to try and comb them out, but when you finally decide to get dreads your hair wants to do the exact opposite and unknots itself.

Its life. You often end up with the exact opposite of what you want.

Because locks should be grown, not "gotten"

That was totally my experience as well. I always woke up with dreads in my hair that took forever to comb out... but now it is the opposite.

    I agree with BrotherMat

Well I dunno about you but when I had none dreaded hair I hardly had it forming dreads whenever I didn't brush.. dreadlocked hair, once started isn't going to knot as much as loose hair because it can't move as freely as loose hair can. None dreaded hair has 10s of thousands or hairs which can move freely, lock and tangle. Dreaded hair has significantly less loose hairs, the loose hairs can knot together though which is one of the ways in which congos can form or when you need to rip dreads apart.

I seems that you didn't get what I was saying. When you grow 'em you don't have to worry about "should I backcomb again? my dreads fell out, pleez halp!"

Wouldn't have happened if you had gone to the store instead of ordering online.
