is there a single reason pot should not be legal?

can anyone give one good argument as to why marijuana should remain illegal? i honestly can't. say you're in a debate and are forced to be on the opposing side of the legalization battle. could you win the debate? all counterpoints i've ever heard have just been completely idiotic. challenge yourself and try to come up with an intelligent point on the anti-marijuana side. i think it's impossible.

it could harm existing industries (not a firm point, since it would also create new industries)
pot related crimes could escalate (we did just have a dispensary robbed)
sudden increase in the income of suppliers could cause tax related problems (which is kind of moot since the income tax is unconstitutional anyway)

i couldn't win the argument, im rooting for the other team XD

 

well smoke in general isn't good for you but i smoke pot anyway and i know the consiquences(spelled that wrong)
Yet I think it has more good then bad and it is demonized WAY too freaking much

government shouldnt be able to tell you what you can/cant put in your body... because the next step is trying to control what you put in your mind.. very slippery slope there

I believe the legalization of cannabis would be a serious threat against the modern world infrastructure, potentially completely shattering this silly excuse for a global society and leading to the end of the world as we know it (not at all saying its a bad thing).

No. It's pretty simple actually, with alcohol and tobacco legal, there is not one legitimate reason for pot being illegal. Unless a person believes alcohol and tobacco should be illegal, which odds are they don't, then they simply don't have a real argument. It's mind-boggling simple, and it's hilariously frustrating how people try to justify the current laws because it's all bullshit.
